Tech alerts provide information about issues that happen in the coarse of a product life cycle that may affect the performance of a system or your ability to resolve problems.

Most recent technical alerts:

2/16/2012: Teletrac messaging seems to have a bug when sending order or service requests. Please be advised that when sending teletrac orders do not use an apostraphy in the message. For instance if you type: ORDER: 1 HEX BUG AND 5 MP3'S, the system will throw an error due to the apostraphy (single quote) in MP3's. Instead type the message as 1 HEX BUG AND 5 MP3-S or MP3s. This will resolve the issue. Teletrac is being notified of the bug but it is not clear if they are able to fix the problem. This problem applies to both technicians and collectors sending messages through teletrac for ORDERS, SERVICE or FREE TEXT.

1/23/2012: Games that include the 8400GS-EXi video card may show "Out of Range" on the monitors. There is no problem here, the games show this when the video drivers have not been installed yet by the operating system. This problem is usually resolved after 10 minutes as the game goes through the installation of software and drivers. Once the video card drivers are install then the game operates normally. This usually takes anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes. This problem was reported by Kit Sather.

12/7/2011:Need for Speed Underground restore disk has been updated to include support for Jaton Geforce 8400GS-EXi video card. Download the file from the file browser if needed.

11/21/2011: TJ Beyer has reported the following:

Zotac 9800 GT video cards work in Terminator Salvation without having to reload the software, if replacing an EVGA card that originally shipped with the computer.

You do have to remove the dual expansion slot cover that comes with the video card to get it to mount in the backwards Dell computers.

11/18/2011: Fast and Furious Drift software disk 1.21d.R2-EXi is available for download. This version fixes the following issues:

* Free diskspace check is automatically removed, it can be reinstated by using the game admin disk.

* It includes support for the new Jaton Geforce 8400-EXi video card, no need for a driver disk.

* It is backwards compatible with the other Dandy Hardware versions as well as legacy OEM hardware.

* On OEM (original hardware) the CRC check is removed allowing for future hardware upgrades on older systems.

All technicians are encouraged to replace the older software (1.20d-R2) with this version which will be labeled 1.21d.R2-EXi. You can download it from the "Company File Browser" or here...

Note: This disk is currently only available in DVD format. CD format will be available soon. Also the disk currently only covers F&F Drift, Superbike and Fast & Furious will be ready by 11/25/2011.

11/14/2011 - Issue found when installing new 8400GS-EXi drivers on Fast & Furious Drift computers using Dandy Hardware.

Info: The new video cards are in circulation now and have drivers setup to work on the RAW Thrills Fast & Furious, Superbike and Drift computers. The issue is related to the driver software distribution designed by Dandy Amusements.

Systems Affected: All Dandy Revision 2 motherboards that run Fast & Furious Drift software using the Jaton Geforce 8400GS-EXi video card.

Issue: When installing the software drivers as directed on Fast & Furious Drift computers the sound is lost. The issue is being worked on and will be resolved soon. The game will continue to work with the exception of sound and no other problems are reported with this software distribution.

11/14/2011: Issue found when installing new video card 8400GS-EXi drivers on OEM motherboards.

Info: The new video cards are in circulation now and have drivers setup to work on the RAW Thrills Fast & Furious, Superbike and Drift computers. The issue is related to the driver software distribution designed by Dandy Amusements.

Systems Affected: Any RawThrills gaming system not using Dandy Hardware and/or R2 software with installed Jaton Geforce 8400GS-EXi video card.

Issue: The original software installed in these machines perform a CRC (Cylic Redundancy Check) on operating system and driver files before the game starts up. If the CRC finds a file not originally shipped with the system or is different in size, date or version it will assume the file is corrupt and hault the operation of the game. This would be the case when you install the new drivers as it replaces many of the old files for new ones needed to operate the newer video card. You will most likely get a "CRC Failed" notice on the screen.

Possible Resolution: You may be able to use the R2 system restore disk for any of the Affected systems since the CRC check is disabled with R2 software and the software is backwards compaible with older systems. Although this has not been tested it should theoretically work. Test are being done to older hardware using this same scenario. You will be alerted when the results of those test are complete. If you have tested this yourself please post the results of that testing in the comments section below...
